Contracts Manager

We are growing at a considerable rate and would like a Mechanically biased Contracts Manager to join our team.

Your Role

• Taking responsibility for project management and administration
• Managing the site team including employees, sub-contractors and agency labour
• Ensuring Health and Safety requirements across site
• Estimating and costing including variations
• Procurement of materials and sub-contractors
• Taking responsibility for design and commissioning of projects
• Working face to face with clients
• Surveying and testing of existing mechanical installations
• Taking responsibility for all contractual documentation including O&M manuals
• Day to day decision making in relation to projects
• Preparation of mechanical designs (calculations and specifications)
• Representing the company at customer meetings

What you will need:

• HNC / HND / IMechE / MCIBSE or above
• Previous experience of running mechanical installation projects
• Knowledge of installation, commissioning and maintenance requirements of mechanical building services plant and equipment
• Good project skills - working to deadlines and budgets, prioritising workload
• Ability to cost projects including variations
• Ability to use Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Project
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Be flexible to travel across the South of England and work extra hours as part of the role
